In this difficult time for our Ukraine, it is important to stubbornly and persistently continue our work - to achieve the highest results in the fight against blindness. Especially in the fight to restore the sight of our defenders - soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION


Abstract submission deadline: May 25, 2025, midnight.

Video submission deadline: June 1, 2025, midnight.


REQUIREMENTS

  • All abstracts are to be submitted via email to prof.novytskyy@gmail.com.
  • Abstracts sent via regular mail, fax or otherwise will NOT be accepted.
  • Upon receipt of your abstract, you will receive a brief email. Please check your email to make sure all information is correct. Organizers assume no responsibility for abstracts submitted not in line with the above requirements.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed, assessed and accepted or declined by the organizing committee.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to select abstracts to be presented. All decisions of the organizing committee will be final.
  • If an abstract is accepted, the presented needs to register for the symposium.


STRUCTURE

All abstracts must be written in English or in Ukrainian according to the following template:

  • title, introduction, objective, methods, results, conclusions, financial disclosures from all authors.
  • Abstracts may not exceed 1 page.
  • All abbreviations should be expanded when used for the first time.


COMPLEX CASE PRESENTATIONS

  • Only one case per presentation is permitted.
  • A presentation must not exceed 5 slides.
  • 3 minutes are allocated for each presentation.


NUMBER OF ABSTRACTS

  • Each author may submit the following:
    • maximum of 3 reports (2 for the vitreoretinal session and 1 for other sessions, or 1 for the vitreoretinal session, and 1 for each of the other sessions);
    • maximum of 1 video clip;
    • maximum of 1 complex case.


Allocated time

  • Presentation: 7 minutes
  • Video clips: up to 5 minutes
  • Difficult case presentation: 3 minutes
  • Presentation by foreign colleagues, with simultaneous interpretation: 10-15 minutes.
